Hello everyone! In the Presidential Remarks, SM K. Narisawa told about an event at an Indian restaurant near his home. He and his wife had a good conversation with a waiter and the owner, starting 'namasute'. He said he knew very little about Hindi language, but a tiny little knowledge of a local language can go a long way toward friendship with a stranger. He told us how important languages are.

Imaginary traveling: SM Yoko Narisawa

When it comes to traveling, it gives us a lot of fun and good memories. It is often said that traveling is what we can enjoy three times. The first one is when we make a plan for a trip. The second one is during the trip. The third one is when we lose ourselves in our reminiscences after the trip.

Under the corona virus pandemic, there are quite a few people who are dissatisfied at not being able to take a trip freely. So recently imaginary walking trips seem to become popular. The other day, I read an article in the newspaper that a woman in her sixties was enjoying walking along 奥の細道 with her friend. They don't actually walk but walk on the Net. They get a taste of what it feels like to travel along 奥の細道.

We can come up with various ideas to enjoy trips at small cost or no cost. Why don't you try it?

<Gone are the days>: SM K. Narisawa

The speaker had a zoom meeting with his son. During which the conversation conjured up a large park that was close to where we used to live. My son also had a vivid memory about the park. He recently had a baby and apparently from how he is treating his son, I can tell how affectionately he is. The park itself may have changed but the memories common to us will live forever.
