We're pleased to have all the members in attendance !
The meeting started with the Presidential Remarks, taking up an episode of a casual conversation with his colleague, an Indian women who is a vegan. He said that initially he had intended to talk about another issue, but due to a lapse in memory he changed the topic.
SM Yo. Narisawa and SM Noro played the roles of Coordinator and Lecturer respectively.

The lecture consisted of matching of animal names and the Making Sentences Alphabet Dice Game(with the theme of favorites)

"What I would do if you know I could not fail?"(SM Koizumi)
The speaker took up his pet issue of social dancing competition with the stress of having a winning strategy. He said that selection of a contestant partner is the key to success.
"What will today matters in five years from now?"(SM Yu. Narisawa)
The speaker stressed the importance of living each day to the fullest including attendance to SMC.
"The worst/best book you ever read"(SM Kaneko)
The speaker said the differences in connotation between originals and translated versions taking up the case of Murakami Haruki's works.
"Color affects the people feel"(SM Noro)
The speaker said he totally agreed with the statement exemplifying the color used in swimming pools.
"If I were an animal, I'd be. . ."(SM Takahata )
The speaker said that she wants to be a panda because it's very cute and she has a good memory of visiting to Ueno zoo with her granddaughter. And she went on say that the animal serves a diplomacy between Japan and China.
"When does silence convey more meaning than words?"(SM K. Narisawa)
The speaker took up an episode of a casual conversation with a cake shop staff member, saying that he successfully conveyed his intention of giving his wife a birthday cake without saying a word.
"How have you helped someone else recently?(SM Yamazaki)
The speaker took up an episode of buying a new cellphone with a desire to help his wife facilitate communication with son using the LINEAPP.
Prepared Speech
"US Presidential election"(SM Kaneko)
The speaker talked about the part of the US Presidential election campaign--- debate between KAMALA Harris and Mike PENCE. In contrast to Trump and Biden's debate that was disastrous with only exchanging harsh words, the debate this time was a good example for English learners like him because their English was authentic.
"Misunderstanding"(SM Yu. Narisawa)
The speaker jokingly took up an example of confusing fishing for phishing with the same pronunciation. Also he talked about an episode of mistake of how a Kanji should be read.
"You-Tube will replace TV"(SM K. Narisawa)
The speaker passionately talked about the amusement of watching some YouTube sites. He said that the programs he found interesting have something in common--- pleasant surprise. Also in his speech, he strongly recommend to use YouTube as a material to improve English.
"My greatest hate"(SM Takahata)
The speaker talked about her greatest hate--- centipede. She depicted her feeling with "I was frozen by shock". And with the news of a drug store is going to be built near her house, how her long struggle with the creepy creature will come to an end?
"Stamp rally"(SM Koizumi)
The speaker talked about JR's Stamp Rally Game he experienced recently. The event intended to travel the area designated for the rally. He said that through the travel, he tasted delicious foods such as Kameido Gyoza, Akabane-anko, Komagome Agemonaka.
"A relaxing and frustrating moment"(SM Yamazaki)
The speaker talked about his recent routine in the morning.
