Hi eveveryone !
The meeting started with the opening remarks by the President. He touched upon an episode during his stay in New York, where he got lost and had a conversation with a person to ask for directions.
SM Yamazaki and SM Takahata served the roles of Coordinator and Lecturer respectively.
Lecture
"Expressions in English related to COVID-19"
Blank filling questions focusing on the coronavirus infection pandemic were given.
.I always disinfect my keyboard with an antibacterial hand wipe.
. How many people with the coronavirus are asymptomatic?
. Coronavirus is transmitted through airborne droplets.
. From a public health perspective, false-negatives are even more problematic than false-positives.
.The pandemic will not be over without either herd immunity or vaccine.
. COVID-19 hospitalizations are expected to increase.

"My favorite holiday"（SM Kaneko）
The speaker said that watching TV during New Year Days is his favorite way to just relax, adding that "As I´m between jobs, I feel guilty, but during holidays, I don't have to feel guilty because everybody else is also not working !"
"Laughter is the best medicine"（SM Yo. Narisawa）
Laughter can prevent disease. The speaker said that in real life, she prefer a smiling person to a frowning person.

Her father's job was a teacher. She saw drinking party where her father and his colleagues got together being held at her home too often. From the experiences, she felt somewhat dismayed about teachers. However, she added a comment, saying "Now teaching is wonderful!"
"Who is the most influential person in your life and why"（SM K. Narisawa）
His brother has had a positive impact on his life but as for a bad influence he talked about his father. He has so to speak, a reversed role model.
Prepared Speech
"Every cloud has a silver lining"（SM Kaneko）
He touched on how the Tokyo Olympics are now seen to be very unlikely to be held as planned.
. He said that he personally doubt about the possibility of holding the Games due to the on going pandemic spread. However, he said he wants to be optimistic, believing that difficult times lead to better times, like an example of Ikeya-san overcoming illness.
"A good timing"（SM K. Narisawa）
He talked some episodes suitable for a good timing, cracking a joke and initiating something. For joking, he pressed the point, saying that getting ready for listeners in the speech is very important. He said that timing counts when you play baseball, ping pong and almost any sport.
"Forgetfulness"（SM Yo. Narisawa）
She took up some recent episodes of her experiences of small mistakes at her workplace due to forgetfulness. Also, she added some rituals to help her husband remember things such as taking medicine and wearing a mask for work.
