From now on, a report of each meeting is made in English. There may be some misunderstanding of the contents of speeches or something. So please feel free to provide any feedback or advice.

Here is the summary of the meeting of SMC held on November 23.

There were five attendees including SM K. Narisawa, SM, SM Yo. Narisawa, SM Kaneko, SM Koizumi and SM Yamazaki.

The Coordinator was SM Kaneko and Lecturer was SM Yamazaki.

<Lecturer>

"An art scavenger hunt in Japan's inland area"

Each of the participants read aloud a full page of an article in the New York Times. Through reading aloud the passage, there was some discussion about the pronunciation of the word "roulette" (particularly about which syllable is stressed) and there were some feedback of explanation of the idiom "faux pas" (embarrassment in a social situation) etc from the President.

<Prepared Speech>

"Tokyo"(SM Yo. Narisawa)

The speech was about the episodes of her recent different visits to Tokyo where the speaker visited with her old friends from her high school and her daughter.

"Fraud"(SM K. Narisawa)

The speech covered some episodes of "fraud" cases, including an English assistant teacher and a famous old English instructor who appeared on TV regularly in the 1960s.

For the episode of the English instructor, the speaker said the person's pronunciation wasn't good enough for an instructor for the NHK English program.

The speech was about a Halloween party

The speaker attended along with some members of his dance club. He disguised himself as a batman, wearing a mask, black sunglasses, and a black vest.
