2月9日（土）小山公民館でのSMCを報告します。

K. Narisawaさん、Yo. Narisawaさん、Kanekoさん、Noroさん、Yamazakiの5名の参加でした。

ConductorはYamazaki、LecturerはYo. Narisawaさんでした。

◆ Lecture

全員参加の英語諺当てゲームでした。一人ひとり袋の中に用意された英語諺カードを英語で説明し、その説明から英語諺を当てるというものです。

. Slow and steady wins the race.

今年予定されている内外の主な行事についてのスピーチでした。

“Optical illusion” (K. Narisawaさん)

今まで何度か登場しているペットドッグについてのお話しでした。また、錯視(Optical Illusion)の例の紹介がありました。角度を変えて意味がわかるというものでした。

“Stress” (Kanekoさん)

以前Kanenoさんが従事されていた仕事についてのスピーチでした。

◆ Presidential remarks

自動詞(intransitive verb), 他動詞（transitive verb）両方を持つphrasal verb (句動詞)の紹介がありました。

. hold to

. I tried to hold to the promise. (=stick to, keep)

. I tried to hold him to the promise. (force him to keep)
