１月12日（土）小山公民館でのSMCを報告します。

K. Narisawaさん、Yo. Narisawaさん、Kanekoさん、Takahataさん、Koizumiさん、Yu. NarisawaさんYamazakiの7名の参加でした。

ConductorはYu. Narisawaさん、LecturerはTakahataさんでした。

◆ Lecture

. She has to give “back-to-back” (続けて)

presentations.

. Temperature weather is “balmy”（うららか）.

. She “burst into”(急に飛び込む) the room and announced she was engaged.

. He has “alienated” (遠ざける) many people with his sexist jokes.

. I was “put off (不快にする)” by her strong perfume.

. Let’s “cut the corner (手間を省く)”.

. When we hear something without the speaker’s knowledge or intent, we “overhear(漏れ聞く)” it.

“Languages on Venus” (Koizumiさん)

年末年始中にお仕事で台湾まで船旅をされ、そのレポートでした。セルビア人、ウクライナ人などから教えてもらったという彼らの母語での「こんにちは」、「ありがとう」などの紹介がありました。

“English dream” (Kanekoさん)

SMCが夢の中で登場したという初夢についてのお話しでした。Thinking in EnglishがモットーだというKanekoさんならでのエピソードでした。

“Live events” (Yo. Narisawaさん)

プロバスケットの試合を観る醍醐味のレポートでした。ましてや、身内の関係者が出場していればなおさらですね。

常勝青山学院大学とともに、わが家恒例となった箱根駅伝のテレビ観戦についてスピーチしました。
