こんにちは。Yamazakiです。6月10日のSMCを報告します。 K. Narisawaさん、Y. Narisawaさん、Hirabayashiさん、Kanekoさん、Masudaさん、Takahataさん、Yamazakiの7名の参加でした。レギュラーフルメンバーでした。ConductorはYamazaki、LecturerはY. Narisawaさんでした。

◆ Lecture

東京工業大学の入試問題から。 “Relationship”をテーマにした文章を読み、その要約の穴埋め問題でした。

◆ Table Topic Speech

- Rainy reason - What was your most difficult choice in your life? - How do you spend on holydays? - If you had another chance to live another man’s life what kind of life you would like to live? - What’s your No.1 goal in the next six months?

◆ Prepared Speech

- “A dog as a granddaughter” (K. Narisawaさん)

娘さんが旅行中に一週間預かった豆柴犬(she-dog)がテーマでした。”Our emotions were rollercoaster, but when we had to say goodbye, we know how important she was to old people like us.”

- “Wil highly advanced artificial intelligence be kind to mankind” (Hirabayashiさん)

天声人語の英訳版から。 “Armed with superior intelligence, mankind has overwhelmed other animals and caused the extinction of many species. There is no ruling out the possibility that the same thing could ultimately happen to the human species, these people warn.

- “Evergreen songs” (Takahataさん)

音楽プロデューサーでアレンジャーの亀田誠治氏の朝日新聞の”evergreen songs” についてのインタビュー記事を元にしたスピーチだった。歌い継がれる”evergreen songs”とは、人々に育てられて”evergreen songs”となるという。

- “Innovations?” (Masudaさん)

先日打ち上げに成功したMichibikiは従来のGPSの100倍の精度だという。Innovationを様々な角度から考察したもの。ひとつが”gender-equality“などの”social innovation”を取り上げた。

- “How are you?” (Kanekoさん)

昔教科書で習った定型表現が今では一般的ではないことの事例として、“How are you?”を取り上げたスピーチ。
